Who You Talk To

Many first-timers picture a big company with a van and a logo. Here, it works differently. Storagedamage Garage Doors is a referral service. When you reach out, a local provider in our network follows up. That provider is an independent business. They do the inspection, the quote and the work.

What the Provider Will Ask You

Expect simple questions. Having answers ready makes things smoother.

  • What is the door doing? Stuck, loud, crooked, or not moving?
  • Did you hear a bang first?
  • How old is the door, if you know?
  • Is it a single or double door?
  • Do you have an opener, and does it hum or stay silent?

Photos first, questions next. A few clear pictures of the tracks, springs and any damage help a lot.

Questions to Ask the Provider

Myth: it is rude to ask questions. Fact: good providers expect them.

  • Are you licensed and insured where required?
  • Will you give me a written quote before work starts?
  • Does the quote cover parts and labor?
  • What is your warranty on parts and work?
  • Can you check track alignment while you are there?
  • If a spring is broken, should both springs be replaced?

Keep Your Own Records

Save the quote, the receipt and your photos in one folder. If you file an insurance claim, some policies may cover sudden damage, so check your policy. Providers can often help document damage for a claim.

The Decision Is Yours

You are never required to hire the provider who calls. Compare quotes if you like. Quote before you commit.
